Norman H. Schulman, M.D.
Director, Division of Plastic Surgery
Program Director
A residency rotation is available for hands-on training in cosmetic surgery. The three-month rotation in cosmetic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital is available only to a senior resident enrolled in a ACGME-accredited plastic surgery residency program.
Under direct attending physician supervision, the resident sees patients in the Plastic Surgery Outpatient Clinic. The patients are admitted to the Hospital as teaching cases with the full knowledge and consent of the patient. The resident performs the operative procedure and provides both pre-and post-operative care. Under the supervision of the attending physician assigned to the case, the resident gathers valuable experience in conducting a day-to-day plastic surgical practice as well as providing a valuable service to the community at-large.
