Lenox Hill Hospital’s Website Wins Excellence Award

Lenox Hill Hospital’s website (www.lenoxhillhospital.org) earned a 2008 Standard of Excellence award by the Web Marketing Association in their annual website competition – The WebAwards.    

The WebAwards recognize talented individual and team efforts in outstanding Website development. The awards are sponsored by the Web Marketing Association which was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and development of the best websites on the World Wide Web.

Now in its 12th year, the WebAwards is a premier annual website award competition that names the best Web sites in 96 industries while setting the standard of excellence for all website development.

Lenox Hill Hospital’s website, developed by eCrossings Media, provides timely information on a variety of health topics and conditions.  Visitors can learn about the symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of a specific health concern from the site’s alphabetical list of topics. 

Visitors can also access the hospital’s Physician Referral Service, where they can search for an internist,, medical or surgical specialist or mental health professional who accepts their insurance or managed health care plan.

The website also has an entire section devoted the patient at Lenox Hill Hospital, including what to do before arrival and what to expect when in the hospital.
