Lenox Hill Hospital announced recently a new affiliation with Cardiovascular Associates of New York (CVANY), a leading Queens cardiovascular practice. This affiliation unites two of New York City’s foremost heart centers and takes cardiac care to a new level for Queens residents.
“We’re very excited about working with the physicians in Queens. When a large physician group seeks an affiliation with us, it’s their recognition that they appreciate our infrastructure and expertise. For us, managing the Queens patient population allows us to expand and enhance our services to the Queens community,” says Gary Roubin, MD, PhD, Chairman of Interventional Cardiology at Lenox Hill Hospital.
Lenox Hill Hospital, ranked #15 in the United States for heart and heart surgery by U.S. News and World Report, is the recipient of the 2008 HealthGrades Cardiac Care Excellence Award and has been ranked among the top 5% in the nation for coronary interventions five years in a row.
“It’s important for Queens residents to recognize the pioneering work of Lenox Hill and the fact that we’re an integrated group of specialists who work together to produce the best results,” said Valavanur Subramanian, MD, Chairman of Cardiothoracic
Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital.
CVANY currently includes 16 cardiologists who practice at six sites; four in Queens, one in Long Island and a new office located at Lenox Hill Hospital. They will continue to provide care in Astoria, Bayside, Manhasset , Flushing and Maspeth.
