"Around the World in 80 Days" is the theme of Lenox Hill Hospital's Fantasy Express to be held on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Cipriani's 42nd Street. This is the 16th annual children's benefit for the hospital's Neonatal Care Unit and the Departments of Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology.
From carnival in Brazil to golfing in Scotland, or alpine racing in Switzerland to Chinese paper cutting, children and adults alike will enjoy a three-hour whirlwind tour of the globe. With passports, traveling backpacks and a vivid imagination, they will enjoy music and dances from diverse cultures, create stuffed animals in Africa, and explore sand art in Egypt. Complimentary photos and fantastic food by Cipriani will add to the afternoon's festivities.
There will also be a silent auction featuring gift certificates to restaurants, spa relaxation packages, television show tapings and more. Support of this family adventure helps purchase advanced technological equipment to ensure that critically ill infants have the best in patient care. Proceeds also maintain Lenox Hill Hospital Pediatric Department at the forefront of family-centered patient care.
Individual children's passports start at $100.00 and are available through the Lenox Hill Hospital Special Events office at (212) 434-6858.
