At Lenox Hill Hospital we strive to create a comprehensive teaching environment that enables the students to experience themselves as physicians both clinically and professionally. The clinical rotations provide them with many occasions to act as physicians while supporting them in their early efforts. Preceptors, Faculty and supervising Residents and Fellows coach students in the skills and tools that physicians uses, and help them broaden their medical knowledge. Students at Lenox Hill are constantly challenged to read, learn complex material, think critically, question other doctors, and collaborate to develop solutions to clinical problems. The faculty and medical staff serve as role models who guide and inspire students in all aspects of being a physician, including the humanistic and interpersonal dimensions.
