A message from the Residency Program Leadership:

We are delighted that you are seeking information about the Lenox Hill Hospital (LHH) Internal Medicine program - a very special one. Each year as we go through the intern selection process and interview hundreds of applicants we re-evaluate how best to express what makes this training program unique. Here are a few of the features we believe are so important in making Lenox Hill Hospital a great place to grow as a young physician: the dedication of both full-time and voluntary attendings to formal and informal resident teaching, the presence of medical students from the NYU School of Medicine and the SUNY DownstateSchool of Medicine, state of the art diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, strong in-house fellowship opportunities as well as an excellent record of placement in other top programs nationally, ample opportunities for clinical research, a unique emphasis on resident participation in community service, a patient population with ethnic and socio-economic diversity, a large single-site training program with a personalized small program feel, and unparalleled camaraderie among housestaff who work hard together, as they each teach and learn from one another. Residents continue their friendships both outside the hospital and throughout their careers. We hope you will take the opportunity to learn as much about our program as possible and see why our graduates around the country are so proud to say they trained at Lenox Hill.
