Division StaffThe Nephrology Division of the Department of Medicine of Lenox Hill Hospital has a proud history and has developed a comprehensive program dedicated to the diagnosis and therapy of kidney, electrolyte, and hypertensive diseases. Members of our division regularly publish scientific papers on important clinical observations in highly regarded nephrology journals. The Division offers fellowship training as well as advanced education for those with various levels of medical expertise who are interested in improving their skills in this area.

Modern diagnostic procedures are available to identify early forms of kidney (renal) disease and therapies have been developed to avoid complications of a variety of chronic kidney disorders. The Nephrology Division also specializes in the diagnosis and therapy of fluid and electrolyte abnormalities, especially those related to serum sodium. Our nephrologists are recognized for excellence in regard to the diagnosis and therapy of high blood pressure, as well as for the medical evaluation and treatment of kidney stone disease.

Patients being treated for acute and chronic advanced kidney disease receive comprehensive services at the Sol Goldman Acute and Chronic Renal Care Centers, which house state-of-the-art dialysis technology. The program also offers home care therapies including home hemodialysis and continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD). A multidisciplinary team of specialists provides follow-up care, educational seminars, and nutritional counseling to help guide patients through every phase of their renal and hypertensive therapy as needed.
