The Vascular Surgery Team at Lenox Hill Heart and Vascular Institute is a leading center within New York City treating all aspects of both arterial and venous problems. Our commitment to the patient is to offer the best clinical care for any vascular problem. Our practice is unique because of the multidisciplinary approach that is taken in evaluating vascular problems. At Lenox Hill, our vascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists and interventional radiologists work side-by-side and often together in the same operative/radiological suite, which allows us to offer the best and most current treatment. This team approach allows us to provide a level of care that is often not possible for any one clinical specialist, whether the procedure is minimally invasive or traditional open surgery.

The vascular surgeons at Lenox Hill Heart and Vascular Institute are some of the country's most experienced in both traditional surgical techniques and minimally invasive endovascular surgery. We are a center that trains physicians and surgeons from throughout country in the newest techniques for treating thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, as well as carotid artery disease.

In addition to arterial disease, we are leaders in treating venous disease, including varicose veins. Laser and thermal ablation techniques are routinely performed for large and small venous varices. In keeping with our use of cutting-edge technology, we performed the first thermal ablation treatment for incompetent perforators in New York City in 2005.
