Psychiatry

The Lenox Hill Hospital Department of Psychiatry is an expertly staffed academically oriented clinical department which provides comprehensive inpatient and ambulatory psychiatric services for both adults and children. Services include:

• A 27 bed Adult General Psychiatry Inpatient Unit
• The Outpatient Center for Mental Health
• Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Services
• Promise: The Center for Attention and Learning Disorders
• Inpatient and Ambulatory ECT Programs
• Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison Service
• Emergency Department Psychiatric Consultation Service

The Department sponsors numerous education and training programs in Psychiatry and Psychology, and is a major teaching affiliate of New York University School of Medicine. The department is particularly well known for treatment of schizophrenia, refractory mood disorders, geriatric psychiatry, ADHD and learning disorders. We are also dedicated to public health education in Psychiatry and community outreach.
