Dr. Ahmadi is a Board certified Internal Medicine specialist, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and an HIV Medical Association credentialed HIV specialist. She finished her training in Internal Medicine at Brookdale Hospital in New York and has since worked in both patient care and educating physicians and is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at NYU . Dr. Ahmadi is an experienced and caring physician with a special interest in preventive care and infectious diseases. She is a member of the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine, and Infectious Disease Society of America.
Travis Sherer, PA-C, AAHIVS
Mr. Sherer is a Physician Assistant specializing in HIV medicine. He has a BA from NYU and completed his training as a Physician Assistant at the Pace University-Lenox Hill PA program. He is a member of the board of directors of the Gay & Lesbian Medical Association and the LBGT PA Caucus of the AAPA, and is an American Academy of HIV Medicine credentialed HIV specialist.
Erin Margolis, LMSW
Erin is a licensed Social Worker and graduate from the Columbia University School of Social Work. She is passionate about her patients and dedicated to hearing their concerns and being responsive to their needs. She can coordinate community services and help resolve insurance issues for her patients. Erin also provides behavioral health counseling and emotional support to all of the patients she works with.
Barb O’Brien, MS, RD, CDN
Barbara is a registered/licensed dietitian. She has worked within the HIV/AIDS community for over 20 years. She has extensive experience working with clients on a variety of health concerns including weight management, cardiovascular disease, GI, diabetes as well overall general wellness concerns. Barbara has a Masters in nutrition from Hunter college and is an active member of both the American Dietetic Association and the Dietetic practice group for infectious disease nutrition.
We offer a wide range of specialists that provide regular care to our patients within the RDC. Specialists include Cardiology, Nephrology, Psychiatry, GI, and Dermatology. Referrals can be made to other specialists as needed as well.
