All of our physicians are board-certified in internal medicine. Several have additional certification and expertise in sub-specialty areas, such as Endocrinology and Bone Diseases, Rheumatology, Hematology, and HIV care. Our doctors are staff members at Lenox Hill Hospital and actively participate in teaching students and residents in Internal Medicine. In addition to physicians, we have a nutritionist and Social Worker to help with care. Our practice also includes residents and fellows, medical assistants, behavioral health professionals, and a registered nurse who supervises all clinical nursing activities.

We Speak Your Language
In addition to English, our staff members speak Spanish, Italian, Russian, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. Interpreters for other languages are available via phone to assist patients who do not speak English.

Your First Visit
On your first visit you will meet your doctor, who will ask about your medical history, obtain other pertinent information and perform a comprehensive physical exam. Please bring a list of any medications you are taking, including over-the-counter and herbal preparations.
Comprehensive Care
We provide primary care with an emphasis on preventive medicine and health screening, as well as managing acute and chronic medical illnesses. We will attend to your medical problems when they arise, while helping you build a healthy lifestyle to prevent future problems.
Primary Care/Wellness - We provide routine physical exams, immunizations, regular screening for cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular risk factors, cancers, sexually transmitted diseases, and HIV.
When you are sick, please call the office before you come in. We will make every possible attempt to see you. If your regular doctor is not available, we will schedule you with another physician at the practice.
We also provide quick Diabetes screening and anticoagulation check.
Cardiology - Our cardiology practice encompasses the full scope of adult cardiovascular pathology with full array of diagnostic testing, including echocardiography, and a particular interest in coronary and peripheral vascular disease. Most recently it is offering acute and chronic venous disease diagnosis and treatment options, as well as echocardiography and other diagnostic tests.
Gastroenterology - Our full service gastroenterology service offers a wide array of diagnostic tests, general gastroenterology and complex, or high-risk, endoscopy.
Rheumatology - Our Rheumatology care is run by Dr Dibner, who cares for patients with arthritis and other rheumatologic diseases. She is also actively involved in education of young physicians in training. She is an author of the bestseller “Lupus Handbook for Women”.
Lupus Center of Excellence - We are happy to announce that Lupus Center of Excellence recently joined our practice. This internationally known Center specializes on new advances in lupus treatment and is actively involved in lupus research. They are currently accepting new patients.
Bone and Metabolism - Dr. Kurland specializes in metabolic abnormalities that may be responsible for secondary causes of fracture and bone fragility. Complex array of diagnostic tests and treatment options are available to our patients.
Nutrition - Medical Nutrition Therapy was recently featured in many publications in press. We provide counseling of patients with conditions such as diabetes, kidney disease, cardiac issues, gastrointestinal disorders, cancer, allergies, as well as patients post-surgery.
Endocrinology - We provide evaluation and offer best diagnostic and therapeutic options to patients with Diabetes, Thyroid problems and wide spectrum of endocrinologic problems. We also offer on-site quick testing to screen or to evaluate control of Diabetes.
Hematology - We are available to provide on-site quick anticoagulation check, and recently opened anticoagulation clinic. We provide care to patients with blood clotting and bleeding disorders as well as anemias and other non-malignant blood disorders.
