Infusion Services

IVThe Outpatient Infusion Center at Lenox Hill Hospital offers convenience for patients who require frequent infusions of medications, including those with central lines. We work with a diverse population of patients, such as:

  • Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy
  • Patients with blood disorders such as VonWillebrand's Disease
  • Patients requiring intravenous antibiotics
  • Other patients who require intravenous treatments, but are not hospitalized



Our Services

The Outpatient Infusion Center specializes in intravenous (IV) treatments. Services and treatments provided here include:

  • Chemotherapy
  • Hydration therapy
  • Immunomodulators
  • Intravenous therapies, such as
    • IV antibiotic therapy
    • IV anti-emetic care
    • IV immune globulin
  • Monoclonal antibodies
  • Anticoagulation therapy with education
    on self administration
  • Therapeutic phlebotomy
  • Transfusions of blood products

Suplemental Services

Supplemental services support the clinical care. To create an optimal care experience, our team also:

  • Assesses and evaluates your progress
  • Provides educational and instructional materials
  • Collaborates with your primary physician to promote the best treatment outcomes
  • Documents in the form of treatment and utilization reports, progress notes, nursing assessments and discharge summaries
