When This Medicine Should Not Be Used:

How to Use This Medicine:

Gas

• This medicine is sometimes given through a face mask. It also may be given inside a plastic tent that is placed over the baby. The medicine is put into the air of the tent for breathing.

Drugs and Foods to Avoid:

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.

Warnings While Using This Medicine:

• Your baby should not stop receiving this medicine suddenly. The doctor will slowly decrease your child's dose before stopping it completely.
• Your baby will be checked at regular intervals while receiving this medicine.

Possible Side Effects While Using This Medicine:

Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

• Blue lips, pale skin.
• Fever, chills, cough.
• Loss of consciousness.
• Shortness of breath.

If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:

• Noisy breathing.
